State Capacity Ecosystem logoState Capacity Ecosystem

The people making government deliver are finding each other here.

The State Capacity Ecosystem maps the field's 300+ organizations, puts its builders in one room, and ships proof of what they can do together. Everything on this site exists to turn shared intent into working government.

The problem

Good policy fails when the people fixing government work in silos.

Practitioners, technologists, researchers, and funders are each rebuilding government's ability to deliver from their own corner, without a clear view of each other and with few ways to collaborate. We are inspired by the ideas of Jennifer Pahlka: the work is real, the field is fragmented, and the fix starts with making the field visible to itself.

Our mission

Connect the people working to make government deliver, and prove what they can build together.

Our vision

A government with the talent, tools, and operating capacity to deliver for the people it serves.

What we do

We map the field, get it in one room, and prove what it can build.

Convene

One build night produced 20 working tools in under two hours.

Our hackathons put practitioners, researchers, and advocates in one room with technologists and leave with running software. The first flagship drew 80+ builders in 20 teams, and the calendar is widening to demo nights and salons.

Everything we learn becomes something anyone can run.

The proof points are live: four working prototypes anyone can open in a browser. The methods ship as playbooks, starting with the Sponsors Checklist, so any organizer, sponsor, or agency can run our event formats without us in the room.
